Dr. Derek Nordeen

Dr. Derek Nordeen

Dr. Derek Nordeen is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S. degree in 1998. The following year, he completed a General Practice Residency in Burlington, Vermont. He then completed two years of specialty training in Endodontics at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Since his training, he has completed the board certification process and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.  Dr. Nordeen is also a Fellow in the International College of Dentists.

Dr. Nordeen has practiced endodontics in the LaCrosse area full-time since 2001 at Endodontic Specialists of LaCrosse. Dr. Nordeen has brought to his practice the latest techniques of root canal therapy and the most advanced knowledge in the field of endodontics. Dr. Nordeen is a previous recipient of the Dows Institute Research Award as well as the Deans Leadership Award at the University of Iowa. He is active in both local and national dental organizations. His work has been published and he has presented his work nationally to other endodontic and dental specialists.

Dr. Derek Nordeen is a La Crosse native having graduated from La Crosse Logan High School in 1990 where he was a competitive swimmer and member of the National Honor Society. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, biking, watersports and spending time with his family.

Dr. Eva Dahl

Dr. Eva Dahl

Dr. Eva Dahl is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where she received her D.D.S. degree.

She completed five years of specialty training in Endodontics and Oral Pathology at the University of Iowa receiving an M.S. degree. She continues to serve on the faculty at Iowa as an Adjunct Professor.

Dr. Dahl has practiced endodontics in the La Crosse area full-time since 1982, previously as a member of Gundersen Clinic.

Dr. Dahl is actively involved in state and national dental organizations. As a Board-certified endodontist, she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and has served on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Endodontists. She is a Past-President of the American Association of Women Dentists. She has also served eight years on the Wisconsin Dentistry Examining Board. She is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists (FACD), the International College of Dentists (FICD), and the Pierre Fauchard honorary society. She served as President of the Wisconsin Dental Association in 2007.

Dr. Dahl contributes to the advancement of endodontics through national lecturing and continuing education seminars. A well-published clinician, she serves as a scientific advisor for two endodontic journals. She resides in Onalaska with her husband.

Dr. James Jespersen

Dr. James Jespersen

Dr. James Jespersen is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S. degree in 2007.

He was a recipient of an Air Force Health Profession Scholarship Progam during dental school, and following graduation entered active duty service where he completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Eglin Air Force Base, Fort Walton Beach FL. Dr. Jespersen then moved to Minot Air Force Base, Minot ND where he practiced general dentistry for 3 years before returning to the University of Iowa to complete a 2 year specialty program in Endodontics.

Dr. Jespersen is active in the American Association of Endodontists, including having served as a committee member and contributing to AAE publications. He has been a presenter at both local and national dental meetings, and is a Diplomate of  the American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Jespersen is from Rock Valley, Iowa where his father is a practicing general dentist. He was valedictorian of his high school class, graduated Suma Cum Laude, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa at Luther College in Decorah, IA. In his free time, he enjoys running, biking and spending time with his family and friends.
